I will be off for a few days to retrive a report from the encampment near the Hyotei-Seigaky borders. If anyone needs to contact me or need me to help them get anything, please comment under this entry. I will see whether I could get those items or not...

I've finally found out who was the culprit that colored my tresses this... this... appalling color. You know who you are and you better change it back soon, before I get even more upset at you. I am sure the king would not mind you missing a few limbs...

Is this how they greet me when I return? By magicking my hair NEON GREEN!!! Wait until I get my hands on the culprit. I may have patience, but has gone to far. No matter what I try to remove the color, it just wouldn't come off. Luckily a servant advised me to use henna and indigo dye to hide the green color until I can hunt down a magician to change my tresses back to it's original color.

A sea of green...frogs? [Sep. 24th, 2004|02:00 pm]

Of all things, why must it be frogs? I could see green everywhere, while it was amusing in the beginning when the courtiers and ladies ran screaming, I do not find it as interesting now. I could not seem to walk properly, trying to avoid from stepping on those slimy amphibians. What was Mukahi Gakuto thinking when he hired those incompetents? And with the Seigaku turning into animals, nonetheless? It means that I have more to do, not that I am complaining. Ever since the last attack by a sparrow/ Seigaku soldier, I have been extra cautious with animals.

Shishido seemed to have done crossed the King again. But I do not seem to remember me vexing him. What did I do to court such a cruel and inhuman punishment from his majesty? Shishido is a nice enough person, although hot-tempered at times. But, must he whine so much? What is so difficult about following Atobe-sama around?

Also, I have heard that I may be sent to oversee the virgin sacrifice. If it is so, I would be glad to leave the palace for the time being, at least until the frogs are gone. It has been quite considerably a long time since I stepped foot out of the palace walls. But I do not feel easy if I have to leave the young king without any protection. Maybe I should request that the king reconsider his idea?

As usual, I watched over the young prince... no... the young king as he pored over maps and scrolls with the two court magicians. While the king places his trust in them to a certain degree, I do not. Why would two powerful magicians such as them want to aid Hyoutei? I am sure they will want something in exchange when the right time comes.

Pondering over this question, I was reminded of my childhood... Eversince I was a youth, my father has instructed me to protect the heir to the throne, no matter what the cost or consequences are. I have watched him since then, as seasons passed. He has grown up to be a fine young man, perhaps a little too arrogant and vain, but I can live with that.

From the corner of my eyes, I could see Atobe-sama gesticulating as the three of them immerse themselves over a map that currently lay open across the mahogany table, if I am not wrong; it is a map of the border between Hyoutei and Seigaku.

Their initial plans were deceptively simple but Seigaku fell for it, hook, line and sinker. A trap was set up as soldiers were sent to attack Seigaku's borders and the bait was taken as they sent a messenger to Hyoutei. It was the opportunity that they have been waiting for. The spell was cast and turned every soldier in Seigaku into animals. Even with the curse, they did not give in and continued to fight on. I must give them credit for their stubborness. It seems that I will need to keep an eye out for intruders of all forms and species for the next few months.
